The imagery in this piece is based on art of famous surrealist painters. The sections of the vessel contains images from Dali, Magritte, Miro, and Escher. The "head" is an interpretation of Magritte's famous "Rape". The "arm" is typical of the disembodied arms in Dali paintings as is the melted clock and the "crutch". The shoes becoming feet is from Magritte's work. The background on the steel stand is etched with reproductions of selected Miro pen and ink drawings.
